A COE is a document from the Department of Veterans Affairs that indicates whether you are eligible for a VA loan. It doesn’t tell you how much you’re qualified for, or if you’re qualified for a VA loan at all. It simply says that you are eligible for a loan to be insured by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Where do you get your Certificate of Eligibility?
There are a few ways to get a COE:
You can fill out an application and send it into the VA – this takes a long time. You can request one online yourself through the e-benefits portal – this can be a cumbersome if you do not know how to use it… Or we can help you get it. As a lender, we have direct access to the VA’s portal and can request your Certificate of Eligibility in a matter of minutes.
When we get your COE, it will tell us whether you are eligible for a VA loan, if you are receiving any compensation benefits, and whether you are exempt from the VA funding fee. This is a very important and critical step in determining whether you’re even eligible for a VA loan. This is also the first step that we take whenever we are helping someone consider getting a VA loan.
Andrew Paul has built his business by referral. A trusted referral is made after someone uses a service provider and feels as though they can trust and rely on them. Andrew is constantly coming across all kinds of service providers and connect you with anyone from a great financial planner, CPA, contractor, plumber, painter, etc… and it will be a referral to someone Andrew knows and trusts. If you have someone you would like to refer, Andrew would love to connect with them so he can pass their information along to someone else who can benefit from their services.
